VIN location??? Please help!

I bought a Salem by Cobra 5th wheel (1995 25' I think...) from a friend 2 years ago. He was living in it and had no title or paperwork but had to sell it quickly as he was moving. So I got a good deal but no documentation. I didnt need to move it anywhere so no big deal. Well now I need to sell it and I cant find the VIN anywhere. The sticker on the roadside up front is completely faded and I checked all around the hitch, in cupboards, etc. It has to be stamped SOMEWHERE, right? Ive got a buyer if I just find the VIN. Please help!

Checked all around the frame but it started getting dark. Is it very hard to see? I also looked at the axles and there were metal bands around them with a 7 or 8 digit number so that's not it (unless it is part of the VIN?). I'll be looking tomorrow so suggestions are appreciated. There is a serial number scratched on a tag by the door. Can I get the VIN from the manufacturer somehow with the serial #?

I believe the VIN and Serial Number are the same. I know on our Silverback the factory rep would always ask for the last 7 or 8 digits of the VIN when I called him.

Its explained in the owners manual what all the numbers/letters in the VIN mean,e.g.the assembly plant, and how to decipher them - one of only pieces of information in that manual.

Do you have the owners manual?

The VIN on my Surveyor is stamped on a metal tab secured to the pin box.
