Water leaks

I have just had my Wildcat totaled due to water leaks. I hit a tree and at the repair shop to have it repaired, the rear cap was removed and unknowingly, the whole section was damaged due to leaking water. Every time I camped I always checked seams and re caulked with caulking from the dealer. Trailer was under an awning when not camping. Until the RV makers upgrade the seams with larger lap joints we will always have this problem or when the insurance companies stop paying to repair water leaks. There was an 2018 in the shop and it had to have all of the cabinets replaced due to water leaks.

It would probably take the Mfg an hour extra to properly seal the unit. I agree with uou

RV manufacturers would likely sell fewer new RV’s if not for the engineered water leaks.
