Question waterproofing tent trailer

What is the best item to use to waterproof the bed ends in our tent trailer 2006 Rockwood Freedom 2270?

the canvas on your tent trailer is already "waterproofed".
your owner's manual should have a sheet from the canvas manufacturer, suggesting you pre-wet the seams so the threads can swell into the thread holes.
other than that, nothing else is needed. some people put seam sealer on the seams but this is an old habit left over from older tent days.

did you own a tent trailer before?

waterproofing tent trailer

Yeah we currently are selling the tent trailer to upgade to the trailer pictured on my site. Last year it got a stain in the one bunk and we cleaned it with water, vinigar and bleach mixed per the dealerships recomendations. We noticed though that the bunk would get condensation dripping inside when it rained so we now want to re-apply the waterproofing so its good once it sells. The trailer in made out of vinyl canvass.

I think I read you should not use anything with silicone in it.

waterproofing the canvas will NOT solve condensation issues. that happens because of hot air in the tent end and cold air outside, especially when using the furnace.

condensation is not from rain seeping through vinylized canvas. it comes from warm breathing of humans inside.
