WD Hitch Recommendations

Hello. Looking for recommendations for a weight distribution system. I have a 2018 Puma 32RKTS, hitch weight is 1,137, dry weight of trailer is 7,673. I use a 2014 F150 EcoBoost, 3.5l v6 with a towing package with max trailer tow of 9,200. I just got the Puma this past June. I previously (trying to sell now) had a Coachmen Catalina 26BH that weighed much less, so I have the Reese SC Weight Distribution Kit that I'm using right now, but it's not quite adequate enough, specifically the trunnion bars. Looking for options to get a system that can safely handle this heavier rig.

I looked at the Andersen MFG 3305, anyone using this system?

Thanks....

I have an Equal-i-zer 10K weight distribution hitch for my travel trailer -- to get the best size for your trailer, go to the Equalizerhitch.com website with this link that takes you directly to the section that addresses your exact question. Good hitch, I am very happy with mine.

At least the 12k. It sounds like your truck is overloaded with this trailer. What is the total weight capacity for this truck?

I have a Rockwood Windjammer, have had the 12k equalizer hitch for 4 years. No problems, great towing.

Do you know the max wiggle carrying capacity of the truck? Not the max towing capacity. That is a lot of tongue weight to put on the truck.

I would go with the Equalizer 12k or 14k.

I like the blue ox sway pro, newer design and quiet.
I had a 2009 F150 and made a similar trailer change, the blue ox did a good job controlling the sway but it still didn't feel safe so I upgraded to a 3/4 ton, much better

I would never use an Anderson WDH on a TT that long.

4pt Equal-i-zer for my TT and 2014 F150 Ecoboost w/Max Tow Package.

I had good performance from my A WDH..If you want an honest opinion call Jason at Andersen. If he doesn't think it's a good match he will tell you and tell you why. He has been known to turn away business if he didn't think it was a good fit..

Anybody using Curt TruTrack(1,500lb hitch weight model)? It's only $402 online, so I'm a little worried about quality...thx again...

For that much TT and a half ton you need at a minimum a Equalizer 4pt or a Blue Ox Sway Pro.
