What is this on my wall?
Has anyone seen anything like this? The wallpaper design makes it hard to see and you can only see in certain light. This is located on the rear wall of RV. It looks grainy like sand and is tough but you can’t remove it. It’s hard and behind wallpaper. Thanks!

That is a sign of water. The glue behind the wallpaper creates little bumps when water gets into the walls. Check your roof seals and any windows in the area

That’s what I’m hearing. We’ve run water with a hose on roof and window and didn’t see any water. Today we scratched area and pounded on wall and a few very tiny tiny bugs appeared from no where. Getting worried.

Definitely water intrusion. Check slide seals. Water travels so check all caulking and all seals around running lights etc.

Im trying to research. Have you experienced problems with carpenter ants? These are tiny, the size of a flea.

I'd be shocked.. Since they claim you need to check the seals and caulk every 90 days (I think). I;m sure they willl try to weasel out somehow.

Dealership told us a leak is not a warranty item. You think bugs are under warranty? Our 1 year manufacturer warranty was up 2 days ago. Of course we spent a fortune on extended warranty.

I would call Forest River, this didn't just happen, must have been leaking during the warranty period.

I'm confused.
Is it a leak or is it bugs?
Some folks have reported having wood in their rigs that were infested with powder post beetles (I think that's what they're called). Repaired by manufacturer under warranty.

If is the Beatles play the red album on 78 and they might just leave! Seriously now, an exterminator might be the next call. Tent the RV and fumigate it.

My issue is the hard lines under wallpaper looking like termite tracks. The texture is gritty but you can’t wipe or scrape it off. Today we hit on wall and husband put a small razor in wall and wood has black blotches on it then tiny bugs, size of a flea but have ant body, appeared from no where. Leak causing bugs? Or bugs causing damage? We are not sure. Dealership cannot see us for 2 weeks and I’m worried serious damage is happening

Whatever the cause, you look like you've got ants. Doesn't matter what kind, you need to get rid of them before they eat your rig to dust.
The question is how..... You need to see if you can figure out how they are getting into the rig. I've had them crawl over tires to the frame to get in.
Surprisingly, spray Lysol will kill ants and other bugs without killing you. Found that out when the ants crawled up the tires and I had thousands of them in the rig and no bug spray. Even works on fire ants.
Raid makes a 'Bug Barrier' that helps keep them out after you get rid of them, but it's pretty strong and I'm not sure I'd use it inside the rig.
