Window trim on the door, it fades / yellows...

Like so many RVs, the window trim / bezel around the the windows on the door started to yellow after being in the sun. It looked ugly on the white door.

I decided to try fixing it, and my fix worked very well.... I used some Krylon Fusion paint, which is made for painting plastic.

I taped off the door and surrounding area to protect from over spray and put quite a few light coats of paint on the trim. The end result looks fantastic!!

Hopefully I can remember this one day (when needed). Before and after pictures?

303 Aerospace Protectant. It work on just about any plastic like material. Trim, dashes, tonneaus, mirrors, tires. etc.

I was ticked off this summer and did the same thing except I removed the whole window assembly and painted it (along with the stove vent). No more crappy yellow... Now it looks like I gotta redo some caulking around various openings as it looks like it has mould in it?

I also had to paint my wheel center covers to hide the yellowing. I guess it's just an RV that will never be in the sun so use the cheapest plastic we can find! (are the manufacturers listening?)

Happy painting!
