Winegard antenna issue
We recently purchased a 2008 5th wheel and took it out for the first time. The camper was only used 6 or 7 times by the previous owner. The issue I'm having is with the connectivity with the antenna to TV. I pushed the button on, it showed a green light, behind the TV and put the antenna up. I placed the TV on channel 3 and conducted a channel search. The search came up with 14 channels which was great for a split second. A picture with sound came up then froze. The TV then showed no TV Signal and all channels were gone. I attempted the channel search again with negative results. What's the issue / problem? Thanks

Is the green "booster" light still on?
If it is, it sounds like you've got a bad wire, bad antenna amp, or bad control behind that green light.

Did you use "air" when you did the channel scan?
Did you use an optimal heading to the transmission towers when you did the scan?
Is the TV Digital ready? You may need to buy an analog to digital converter to get your TV to work with the new signals.

The green light is on the wall plate and does go out when I push it to turn it off. If it's the cable how would I replace it? Its my understanding it goes from the antenna to the wall mount plate.

Whoa. You need to leave the switch ON (green light on) the entire time you are using the roof antenna. It is the coax switch (that switches between the roof and the park's cable) AND the power supply to the amp located in the roof antenna's white box.
Turning the switch off disconnects thr off antenna from your TV.

herk7769...... Not sure what you mean by "air" but we never had a chance to turn the antenna. The picture that did show for second or two was extremely clear before it froze and went out. The TV is digital ready from what we were told but I will hook up a box just to make sure.

I would just check all of the cable connections to make sure they are tight. If they are, then about the only way to debug this is to try replacing components, which you probably won't be able to do.

I only turned off the switch when the TV stopped working and no channels were found.

"Digital ready" is not a digital tuner! You need a seperate analog to digital tuner to make a digital ready TV digital. Amazon.com: iView 3500STB DTV Converter Box: Televisions & Video
You need to turn the antenna FIRST to the direction of the towers; THEN scan for channels.

LJ, how about a photo of your TV.
I am thinking you are trying to receive a digital signal on an analog TV.

The year of the RV (2008) would support Herk's theory. That's assuming that it is the original TV that came with the RV.

I just don't see how it could have had a picture/sound even briefly if it was an analog TV, but I'm sure stranger things have happened. Perhaps he can try with a newer portable TV.

The TV is a 32 in flat screen Westinghouse. Not sure if I can attach a picture but will try.

Most likely in that case it has digital tuner and you don't need a converter box.
Sorry for going down this wrong rabbit hole.
When doing a channel search, it matters whether you use the "Air" setting when using the roof antenna (OTA - or Over The Air); and "cable" when using the park cable (green light off).

Your antenna is analog, you need to get the winegard digital attachment or a Jack replacement head. I have the jack and it works great. A signal meter helps with direction, or look up the channels on the web.

Wrong.
There is no difference between a digital TV antenna and an analog one!
Please read the OPs first post where he indicated that he originally found 14 channels and had brief picture and sound.
