Winterizing-How to find WH Bypass valve 2011 Salem FB 22 ?
Sorry if this has been covered, I tried searching the forum to no avail.
I've got a 2011 Forest River Salem 22FB (Northwest package) I'm (trying) to winterize for the first time.
Everything I read says to turn valve on the water lines at the back of the water heater to bypass it so I can run the anti-freeze thru the lines w/o antifreeze filling up the wh, but I can't find any access to the back of the water heater.
The fresh water tank in this model is located under the bed, and the water pump is also right there. I can see water lines going into the pump from the tank, and a line going out of the pump, and this line disappears down into the sealed floor, heading (I'm assuming back to the sinks, etc.)
Access to the water heater is via a outside panel at the back of the trailer. I've pulled the plug and drained the water heater tank, but no water lines in or out are visiable at this spot.
I've pulled interior panels (all I can find) and cannot get any access to the back of the water heater to find a wh bypass valve.
I think I'm missing something, but sure can't figure it out. Any ideas ?
Thanks.
