X Chocks - What are the best?

X5 or whatever for the BAL's.

I paid $71 for two through Amazon.

They really do help to add stabilization in the trailer.

I also use regular chocks when setting up and pop in the X-Chocks when I am done leveling the trailer. I don't worry about locking them.

One tip is to tighten them on the second day after the tires have cooled. I'm not sure we really damage our tires by tightening them down. Obviously you will not need to crank on them.

We have BAL X-Chocks and love them, I did however see the Roto Chocks for the first time while in Hardin Montana and they seem well made but are very limited in tire/wheel spacing where the X-Chocks can be used with a wide range of tire/wheel spacing.

Rotochoks are available in 7 sizes, ranging from 5/8" spacing to 6" spacing. The Bal X-Chocks don't go down to 5/8".

Perhaps you mean they do not adjust as far, if you were to use them on different applications. The Rotochoks are more unit specific, but can be ordered in sizes to accomodate small spacing that the others will not fit.

Exactly what I meant to say. Adjustability. X-Chock 2 sizes fit all well eccept for ultra thin. including the ultra wide spacing the Prime Time units have.

BAL chocks is what I use and love them. Earlier there was a question about king pin stabalizers and x-chocks. I had the X- chocks first, then added the stabalizer. Together we get very little movement. The was still some movement (more than I wanted) with just the X- chocks.
