I have the one's in your second pic - don't remember the manufacturer righgt off - they work just fine. Got a pair of them at Camping World on sale for just slightly more than one BAL.
Have the UF and really liked them until I forgot to take the one out on the interstate when changing a tire on my TV. If anyone has one they found on Interstate 16 I would really like it back.....

When I install my BAL's , I always lock each one with a pad lock, this does two things, stops theft of the chocks and keeps the chocks where you left them therefore keeping you RV where you left it! I also use a security cable from Lowe's on the spare tire, locked to the bumper with a key matching lock as the BAL chocks.

I locked mine, until the lock rusted and I was unable to unlock it at Myrtle Beach. Needed to leave....what to do ??? Deflated the tires enough to pop out the chocks. Re-inflated the tire's and I'm off. Made me realize locking them was kind of dumb...if someone really wants them, they'll deflate the tire like I did.(took 30sec. to deflate and pop them out). So ever since then. The tire chocks don't get locked. I have a Tire-Claw to lock the wheels.

I can only comment on the BAL X-chock's but I really like mine. Work great and keeps the camper stable. I also use a second set of traditional chocks too, as a redundancy. Make sure you go back an hour or two later after setup and check they are tight. The wheels will shrink some after cooling. Also don't ratchet them down like crazy as they could damage the tire and it's not necessary. I don't ever use the lock feature.
