All members please read
Sorry to have to go here but this is how it goes.
8/2008 my wife will be losing her job of 30 years. No I am not begging as I can pay my bills without her income but her income is the savings/play money
FRF as well as all of my web ventures are a hobby and I have never and I am not trying to make a buck. BUT and we all hate the butts.
To keep this site as well as the others I MUST break even. So simply said
We moved to a new server this week thanks to my/our friend Chopper at bikershangout/megapowerhosting and cut my cost from 130.00 per month to 55.00 per month.
So I have done my part as best I can to cut cost and not lose the hobby I love.
Simply said FRF has to get an average of 15.00 per month in donations/sponsors or We may have to close the door.
Sorry but the boss has spoken and I have until 8/08 to have a plan in place.
any ideas?
Mike

Ok, folks...it's time for a good ol' fashioned MEMBERSHIP DRIVE!
Time for us to show our appreciation to this site, and make a donation to keep it running. I value this site, and will head straight to the main page after posting to make a donation myself.
We all gain a lot of knowledge here, and lean on others for help when there is no one else to turn to. Now that's GOOD SERVICE! A small donation will ensure this important resource stays around. (don't make me go back to RV.net!!!!!!!HELP!)
Please, Step up, and make a donation now my friends!
The donation link on the home page is here:
http://www.forestriverforums.com/modules.php?name=Jig
Thanks!

I own a couple websites myself and I can tell you all that $55 per year is
dirt cheap.
I got a month per year covered from now on!

So I assume we get to keep your administration skills, it's just now we all have to pitch in and pay the rent, right?
Don't forget to post the same comments over on ORR.net, we don't want to be a mooch.

This just goes to show how the economy is treating the
typical American family right now. It is said that the economy
is in a recession when your neighbor loses his job, but that it is
a depression when you and your neighbor lose your jobs.
I for right now am unable to contribute. My CC is maxed out still from
January (Christmas Bills). Also I am one payment behind on TT
and one pmt behind on home. However, I too get much enjoyment
from this site and as soon as I can breathe a little I will see what
I can do.
Right now I work in a local group home setting and my husband
works general labor. I am trying to decide if going into nursing
school (LPN) for one year is a good idea. They say jobs in the
medical field are here to stay (baby boomers).
So much for telling you my current financial and life story.
Please give my thoughts and prayers to your wife.
Nina

We enjoy this website and would like to see it stay alive.
We've made a donation towards that end.
Keep up the great work!

I too have the same problem, my wife is losing her job of 27 years in the next 15 months so I fell your pain. This Forum is fantastic, for the way it is operated and the members that are on it. I have heard before all good thing must come to an end, but NOT THIS FORUM, it must continue. there is a special connection here with everyone, a warm and fuzzy family felling knowing that we can depend on each other for help. The posting and threads are not connected to faces, but you can still tell that the members here are for real. So the way I look at it, if every member (1,669) of us could reach deep in our pockets and pull out $ 20.00 and donated to the forum, this would prove that America could build the strongest RV forum on the webb. Remember, charity starts at home! MRimmer, I wish your Boss the best, and MRimmer I hope your efforts continue... Wade.

My goal is to try and get every active member to donate, but if only 10% actually donate $2.75, that'll take care of one years cost.
Give what you can.

I just clicked on your Click Here to Donate link and got the following from the PayPal site:
Sorry — your last action could not be completed
Are others having this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Are there other ways to make a donation, like mailing a check to some one?
