2011 berkshire

Hey guys.
I am new to this site. Hope I'm doing this right. I have a 2011 Berkshire motorhomes. The info panel on the dash that shows mileage, and other engine info has, I guess some kind of backlight so you can see the numbers and info. Well mine lights up sometimes and doesn't most of the time. Has anyone else had problems with this? If so what did you do to fix this? Thanks Joe

Joe welcome to the forum and to the Berkshire family. I hope you will feel at home and find all the answers you will be asking. As to the back light I'm of no help. I did remember a post on this not long ago and I will do a search. Maybe just a loose wire or something simple.
What Berk did you get. We all love pictures so post them. I have a 2011 340 RB in gray and black. I've owned it for almost three years and we full time in it. Love it and it's been a good MH for us so far.

Joe,
Congrats on your Berkshire and welcome to the Forums. As Ernest mentioned, there is a wheel next to the switch for the headlights. It is a dimmer switch and if turned all the way to the off position, it will shut off the back lights to the instrument panel.
Let us know if this helps.
Tom

Joe don't worry most of us can tell you to check the little wheel dial without sending three posts. LOL.

The dash light dimmer does not have any effect on the panel I'm talking about. It dims everything else but not this panel. The info on this panel still seems to work it's just real hard to see it. It's the digital part with the odometer on it.

You can try calling the Freightliner hotline. It's 1-800-FTL-HELP. They also have an app for Iphone.

@texas realtor: You are correct. On my 2011 Berkshire that's what the switch does.

The little wheel switch might be just for the map lights. I think that was the elusive switch to control them we were looking for when we first got our 2011. The info panel you might be talking about gets brighter only when the headlights switch is on. On ours it at least changes its backlights to a "nighttime mode" when headlights are on which is how we mostly operate at any time when driving.

Trying to figure out how the 2 lower lights(I guess floods) come on that are below my headlights as headlights are not bright. Drove at night first time other day and did not seem like I had much light on roadway.
