2011 Berkshire model no. question

I just bought a 2011 Berkshire model no. BE360FWS-60. Can someone tell me if it is the 360 horsepower model that I think it is and what else does the model no. mean. I know it's the 37-3/4 ft. model.

Congrats on the new rig...

I also have a 2011 Berkshire. It's a 360BH (Bunkbed version).

The 360hp motor came with the Allison 3000 tranny (which would be hard to see), but I "THINK" also came with the aluminum wheels - versus wheel covers. That might be easier to see.

Also some of the 2011 came with DEF and some without.. Ours is a DEF unit - but one of the neighbors has a 2011 without DEF..

The -60 would indicate 360 horsepower.

Jake, I'm not familiar with your particular year and coach, but you need to figure this DEF out pretty quickly because you do not want to run out of it.

Here is the brochure for the 2011 models including yours.

http://library.rvusa.com/brochure/11_Berkshire_A.pdf

If you have DEF tank, look behind all of the storage bay doors. Or in your fuel gauge at the bottom you may see a DEF gauge, or like someone said, you may or may not have it. If you have DEF, as you run out of DEF, your engine will start to loose performance and eventually stop. Never ran my MH dry so do not know for sure. However I have a diesel pickup truck and that is what happens with that.
Hope that was some help

Why don't you contact the factory and give them the vin# and they will answer any question you have about your particular model.

Jake,

The need for DEF will depend on which chassis your coach is on (2010 or 2011).

Some 2011's were built on left over 2010 chassis's. Check the 3rd panel from the rear on the passenger side for a large black tank.

The '360' refers to the engine HP.

Phil,

Your coach may have been built in 11/10 but it's on a 2011 chassis. Mine was built in 9/10 & it's on a 2011 chassis.

They're building the 2018 models now & some of them will be on a 2017 leftover chassis until they run out of them

Ceedog my Chassis was built in November of 2010. The coach was built in I believe February of 2011. It is a 2011 Moho. I do have more in common with 2012's in some ways. Click image for larger version

Phil,

Copy that. Chassis are manufactured ahead of when they are needed. The year they are manufactured is not as important as the spec sheet used (2010 vs 2011) during the process.

Another key to look for on FL chassis is if the exhaust is on the left side instead of at the rear. Prior to the 2011 chassis that's where the exhaust was. By moving the exhaust to the rear, it gave us an additional storage bin.

My coach also has some of the 2012 changes. Are your heating vents on the floor or incorporated into the furniture? The vent move was part of the spec sheet changes for the 2012.
