What option dictates whether you get a 340 or 360 Cummins in your DP?
I have a 340 which is Great, no problems. Just wondering.
I have 7500 miles on mine and only had one Warranty issue..... The bed slide out motor needed adjusted because of binding noise.
My dealer fixed it while I waited without an appointment!
One Happy Camper!

They were built both ways, 340 or 360 HP. There are quite a few things different on the 360. For example a larger transmission, larger tires, heavier front airbags, aluminum wheels, higher cargo and towing capacity, etc. So if you are thinking it's just a chip change or something for the higher horsepower, it is a lot more than that and were built that way during the manufacturing process

Well it happened. The bed slide wont go out again. What is the deal? I have 3 different mechanisms that move the slides....Hydraulic, Gear, and Cable. What have you guys done to remedy the problem?

Sand Dog - The Bed Slide problem is covered thoroughly in the thread that Silver listed.
As a word of caution, even when fixed it can reoccur over and over as you are seeing. Also another word of caution that all mechanics are equal and I highly recommend that you get your nose into the repair (so that you don't have a botched job) or do it yourself.

Is this bed also used on the new 38A.just purchased at Dylans in NJ and maybe I should have it looked at while other problems are being taken care of?

I forgot to mention you cannot get to the motor when the slide is in so you are going to have to mussel it out first. I have removed my motor cover and left it off for this reason. Don't need the extra weight and it does nothing.

the monitor for your black, grey and fresh tanks I was always having problems with the black tank not reading right so I put in the seelevel system which mounts to outside of tanks

Bud,
Does the seelevel system work with the FR monitor panel or did you have to install a new panel as well?

Tom, I installed the SeeLevel as well..... New panel; two digit display that reads out in % of full. New panel can be "sort of" added to the existing panel. Works OK but is not as "pretty" as it could be.
It works great as long is your black tank walls haven't become "encrusted" with sludge. Run your flusher for a good long time at least every other dump.
Very easy install. Use existing wiring,
Stick sender to tank, then use only a single pair of wires running to the display.
Apparently the sender units each have an unique "address" since signals for all the tanks go thru a single pair of wires.
It also monitors propane and house batteries, although the battery monitor is not nearly as good as a REAL battery monitor (with a shunt). It simply reads out current voltage.
Boowho??
