Wow that's not very attractive
Plus folks going to the South & Southwest will not like all that black paint --it's a huge heat sink.

We got the distinct impression that the guys at the factory did not believe us.

Oh Well

It seems all manufacturers are hung up on painting Moho's black. Mine is mostly black it it is hot. To hot.

My next coach will have a large bathroom, everything else can be my DW's decision. I am not claustrophobic but I need my space....lol. I also think my DW would eventually like the True Induction cook top.

Bama, I definitely would go with the tile floor/generator and chassis upgrade packages myself. The other packages could be done from the factory if wanted, but also done at a later date. Also agree with your DW on the sinks...that is a beautiful setup.

We leave the 15th for the great white north. Two weeks if Christmas celebrations and back to sunny Florida.

The paint job is too busy. That paint scheme would deter me from buying one.

It would be nice to see what they could do with lighter colors.

Do you think adding a greater amount of metallic to the darker colors would increase reflection and thus decrease heat absorption?

I believe there are 5 different paint schemes. Two of which are more in line with current Berk schemes.

I'd go with the new style. Just to be different. They will all be sharp looking coaches

Yep Rich that is a nice setup. Even though it is a center bath, it feels very spacious - even the enclosed toilet closet is very roomy.

When we were up there we spoke to FROG Bob & Cindy and they MOST emphatically said get the heated floor. They sytayed in Middlebury last winter, they told us that the floors radiated cold so bad they had to cover them with rugs!

YES! I fully agree. I would like to see a mixture of light browns/cream with maybe a Crimson (not red!) highlight and NO Black at all.

Oh well...maybe the beefed up R-values, metal bases and insulation in the slides, and 3" Foam insulation + the 3 A/C will keep the temps down in the summer in the South/Southwest.

FCCC Unveils New ‘V-Ride’ Suspension System

December 4, 2013 by RVBusiness

Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) unveiled its V-Ride rear suspension system during this week’s 51st Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

According to a press release, the V-Ride is the first-ever single-axle rear suspension rated at 24,000 pounds, offering luxury motorhome manufacturers more options for floorplan designs and amenities while giving motorhome owners more towing capacity and flexibility. The V-Ride Rear Suspension System will be available as an option on the XC chassis from FCCC, beginning in model year 2015.

“The V-Ride is designed for today’s luxury motorhome owner who demands the ability to carry more gear and equip their coaches with more luxury amenities,” said J.P. Davis, RV product manager for FCCC. “And it’s more than just increased towing capacity that makes V-Ride unique and innovative – its proven design and engineering provide greater durability and a more stable, comfortable ride. It’s truly luxury without limits.”

The design and engineering of the V-Ride – already proven in heavy-duty applications – bring new features to the market that provide an improved overall driving experience, the company said. The suspension’s “v-rod”-shaped upper control arms help to dissipate suspension forces through the crossmember and frame rails, reducing stress throughout the suspension.

In addition, the V-Ride’s transverse beam is directly integrated with the trailing arm to form a single-piece U-shaped assembly. This unified design, combined with the v-rod control arms, reduces sway and provides a more stable motorcoach ride – especially in those instances when a motorcoach’s tendency is to lean or drift outward, as when traveling around a curve. Combined with its standard volumetric airbags, the V-Ride provides a smooth, stable, comfortable ride.

“The V-Ride maintains superior roll stability and more predictable handling throughout,” added Davis. “This gives motorhome owners a more confident driving experience in all road conditions.”

For additional information, visit www.freightlinerchassis.com.

Bob, the suspension upgrade, to me, is one of the most exciting things about this coach. How do you like it? Night and day handling from the regular Berks?
