38A Furnace
To all 38A owners, this is just a warning.During our run to Florida this week and the weather being what it is(cold even in KeyLargo)the kitchen drain that travels behind the fireplace started to leak.In removing the fireplace found that the furnace when installed by factory was placed on top of the flix hose used for drain, and in using the furnace for extended time melted the hose. Was a real pain in the a** to do a temp repair till it can be repaired by FR.If you can(only 4 screws hold it in place)remove fireplace or what ever is in that space and check where the hose is located.

As far as I can tell by looking at the Forest River Forums profiles the only Berk owners that listed their coach as 38A are:
Bud Ezekiel H
ccupton
Jim9091/oldkeywest91
nathantoensing
pipelineguy
priceless0612
RKNOLA (us)
Secfan90
tnbendr
maybe there are more out there, I don't know. Some people just list "Berkshire" under the make/model category so it is hard to tell which model they have. Hopefully the other 38A owners will see this thread and check the hose placement in their coach before finding out the hard way.

I bought my GTown there. Got a great deal, and haven't had any service issues to date.

Terry Town was good for me. Service after at that time wasn't great for a DP. They are better now. My salesman was Bob Wells. Pretty good guy. Good price. I always thought they should have jumped in and helped me out with the front axel overweight issue. I talked to them and they weren't real interested.

Well David,
It takes a lot of time, a lot of squinting at the computer screen, and a lot of writing cramps! LOL! You should start a Silverback list. It is a lot of work, but if you are traveling in another state and you have an emergency on the road you want to know who is around that you can maybe call to help you out. It also helps you to put faces to names at a rally. Just go down the list of Forest River Forums Members List and look at people that list Silverback as their make/model RV.
Good Luck!
Karen
