390bh fold out couch?

Has anyone replaced the fold out couch in their coach with a better made one? After one year of use, the seat portion framing is falling apart. It is constructed of cheap pine and staples.

I actually sort of rebuilt / reinforced mine and it made a big difference! If you fold the seat portion up so you're looking at the underside, you'll notice large spring like supports that attach to both sides. Mine were coming out! I got some wood screws and re-installed them all with them so it made them more firm and secure. They haven't come undone since and the coach is a little more comfy!

The couch we had was worthless. I removed it and replaced the carpet in the slide with better padding and nicer carpet. We also put to recliners in in place of the couch. Lots more mods also

Glad to here I am not the only one who has rebuilt a lot of poor quality work. I totally rebuilt my couch assembly and had to replace my air mattress because the staples they used punched holes in my original one.

Got to be a good handy man to own a Berk!

We replaced ours with the most comfortable split sofa recliner rockers we could find. Didn't need the sofa hide a bed. What a difference in comfort!!

We also went shopping for something comfortable that would fit in the 66 inch space. Found a great wall hugger recliner that is better than our house furniture. Best item I have added this year. The delivery guys said this was there first delivery to a RV.

we just ordered a 3 seat sofa, that has a double, wall hugger recliner from lazy boy. Will take 6 weeks to be made (4 more weeks to go). The villa jacknife, 'L' sofa is very uncomfortable!!! The price was half of what we could find at any RV shop/dealer/supplier.

Will address that later..... When it comes in.
But the back comes off the new couch just like a regular recliner, so thinking the seat belts can be put in.... We have never had ride along passengers... Usually our dog are in their crates on the couch.... The crates are seat belted in......

Here is a pic of the loveseat. It just made the last week of camping much better. It is a England 3A03 Dbl Reci Loveseat. W-61 D-40. We took the floor model because of the order time wait.
