390BH LP level indicator

my 2008 390BH always shows 2/3 full on the panel but when you look at the dial on the tank it shows something very different. Right now the dial is at 1/4.

Has anyone experienced this? If yes how was it remedied?

Thanks

Haven't had problem with it, but seeing no one replied to your question, I'll post this.

Robertshaw Wireless Propane (LP) Gas Tank Level Meter RS-228

For some reason, the RV industry thinks 2/3 full is a good enough figure to keep everyone at bay. It shows up quite often. Holding tanks and propane tanks alike. I think it has something to do with the fact that RV gages are not being designed by NASA.

I would trust the Gauge on the tank before going by the Panel Indicator. Propane tanks are never filled more than 75-80%. The tanks are filled as a liquid but exit the tank as a gas. This allows for expansion so the tank doesn't rupture. I've watched mine being filled each time and they pump liquid in until it starts to spray out the top vent hole. The gauge reads about 3/4 full at that point. I have no idea where the Panel indicator is place on the tank but it probably starts at that actual 3/4 Tank Filled mark and shows Full at the Panel.

may have air in line

As I tried to light water heater and furnace, the igniter is working but will not light.Tech says may have an air bubble as they topped it off yesterday. He said run furnace and it would purge line, I don't think it lit either. Any ideas ? Thanks

Do you have the LP Leak detector on? If not the solenoid before the gas valve will not allow gas to the valve. If it's on then light one of the stove top burners.
