I LOVE the floorplan of the 400BH compared to the 390. We purchased one of the last 2014s. 2015 had just arrived at the dealership but with our 2014 we were able to get the $10,000 rebate FR was offering last spring, even though we bought in June. I think the new floorplan is really inviting and a nice change from other MHs we had looked at.

Going through specs, it looks like 390 has single 40K BTU unit vs. 400's dual 20K BTUs. Was it the case in 2014 also? Does it imply dual zones or they are tied to the same thermostat setting?

Thanks

My 400bh has two t-stats for control of main cabin and bedroom area for independent operation. You could have Ac one in one and heat in the other

JC, thank you for the info.

Does anyone know how heat and A/C set up in 2014 390? Is it single zone heat and air?

Thank you

My 2014 has 2 A/C's and 2 furnaces. You can control each furnace and A/C separately. There is one thermostat but it has 2 zones.

Thank you for the info. It is almost impossible to find reliable specs anywhere. I read earlier today that 2014 390BH has one 40,000 furnace

I am wondering if anyone tried to install the dishwasher under the stove. I looked up space needed for something similar to what's in Charleston and it 16 1/4 high by 23 1/2 wide.

What's inside that cabinet anyway?

Thanks

X2. I ordered mine with dual 15K heat pumps, but as stated above, dual zone with single thermostat. Two furnaces also controlled by the same thermostat. The thermostat controls both furnaces, both AC's and the heat pumps...

How does it work with one thermostat? Does it have remote temperature sensors?

Thanks

Alex, There are temp "probes" in each zone for the single thermostat.
Zone one is front and zone 2 is rear.

Glenn, I see that you have 2014 400BH and you said that you have one thermostat. On previous page JC mentioned that he has 2 thermostats and also 2014 400BH. Was it an option or late introduction?

Thank you,
Alex

I don't know for sure. I bought mine in February 2014. I saw some of the manufactured dates somewhere and I think it was made in October 2013.

One thermostat , 2 zones. Controls heat pups, heat and cool in zone 1 and cool only zone 2, and both furnaces, zone 1 and 2. Also controls fan speed and if you push the right button it will tell you the ambient temp in either zone. Actually not a bad thermostat especially compared to those on my boat, a 2005 model now happily serving it's second owner.

The thermostat can control any and all systems in each zone. What determines what shows up on the screen is how the dip switches are set up on both of your AC's.... My coach has dual 15K heat pumps so my Tstat controls them both. Most Berkshire owners only have 1 heat pump (fwd) and a regular AC (rear) so the heat pump option will not show up on their Tstat because the dip switch for zone 2 on the rear AC is not selected for heat pump.... If you look on dometic's website there are a lot of instructions about the Tstat and airconditioners and proper settings

There is a remote sensor in the rear bedroom that is hooked up to the thermostat in the living area. It will keep what ever temperature that you set on the thermostat for zone 2 (rear bedroom). The living areas temperature will be controlled by the thermostat which is in the living area.
