40 bh xl

Hi All,

We are waiting for or new 2016 Berkshire which should be ready for us to pick up in about 2-3 weeks. We have added some dealer upgrades like in motion sat, solar and cell phone booster. I just started thinking how nice it would be to get a power or manual 50amp cable reel and a fresh water reel.

1. Does anyone have any of these their Berk?
2. Any factory or dealer option?
3. Is there room to get these installed?
4. Where would they be installed (photos would be greatly appreciated)

I wish these were included or offered as a factory option. We would have gone with the discovery which has no the of these included, but the dw liked this floor plan better and I'm a forest river fan after owning a Georgetown xl.

Thanks Oz

Oz, congrats. Many of us have tried, but there is just no room for power hose reels in either the power or water bay.

Power cord reel

We have a power cord reel and will be installing a hose reel in the future. I will take photo when I go to the toy barn.

That's really not fair. You've got 3+ feet of length on the rest of us. Congrats on the NEW coach.👍

Paul,

I actually wished I could be under 40 feet since we live in California and I have to get a class b non commercial license. I went to the dmv and passed the permit test for now, but you have no idea what I had to go through to get a straight answer and the correct test from them. I had a 1p appointment and walked out at 5pm after hours of back in forth with the clueless staff. By the way they made me take 5 different test when all I need was 2. Any other for profit company would be long gone by now.

Although we do have three more feet of coach, we have about six feet of basement storage consumed by the side radiator on the port side.

That 6' of radiator space was not really a loss. Those cabinets held very little of value. I think I have slide braces on one and towing pins and cables in the other.
