A dumb question, but I'm bored today

When first getting into a Class A, I didn't (and still don't) worry about fuel mileage. After-all, I was purchasing a big vehicle.

But another thread in another forum for another brand got me to thinking.

What kind of mileage are you folks that have the 360HP Cummins Berk getting?

Just curious, since Mine has been parked since the day we bought it.

My 14 390BH 340 averages around 11mpg @ about an average speed of 70. I've gotten better and I've gotten worse depending on wind and depending on road but pretty much 11 is the norm. That is with my 2011 Cadillac SRX on the back too. I believe what I've seen on this forum, the 360's are getting about the same.

Our 2011 390BH 360hp gets 11 mpg not towing. This is a manual calculation meaning dividing miles driven by gallons pumped and not looking at what the console displays for mpg.

Towing our Chevy Express 2500 extended conversion van (weighs 6,500 lbs.) we get between 9 and 10 mpg.

I don't drive faster than 65 - towing or not. Cruise is set at 65. It has around 25,000 miles so far.

On my last trip to Tennessee from New York, going through Pennsylvania, W. Virginia, Virginia, up and down mountain roads, the average on my '14 360hp was 10.5 mph. This was hand calculated, as liteemup stated, and not using what the coach consoled computed.

I have recorded 10.7 pretty consistently with coach alone. Just got toad set up and have not traveled with it yet. My toad is 4800lbs so if I get 9-10 Mpg I guess I'm happy.

Is it parked because that was your plan? To park it somewhere and use it there or live in it? Or is there some other reason why.

I get 10.75 not towing and 9.5 to 10 towing a jeep or my boat. This is Cruz set at 65. If I go any faster the mpg drops to around 7.5-8 mpg towing or not.

I'm getting about 9.5 -10 towing (65) and 10+ when not. This is with the 360.

In my 08 Berk Mercedes equipped I average 10 towing and that's from the computer. That's pretty close cause when I stop for fuel the amount I put in is close to the amount of fuel to miles traveled ratio. Jim

About the same as everyone else on here. Last trip was 9.8 mpg during 380 mountain miles towing a Silverado crew cab. Engine is the 360.

When I'm in the mountains or hill country I get below 10 also. I usually travel on flat ground on the south coast. And I am also like Ernest, I drive 65 or below. I have 14 days off every 2 weeks and I am in no hurry.

It's just parked until after the winter. We got it late in the year to study and learn it and first sign of good weather, there will be an empty parking spot next to the garage

Well all the responses make me feel good. Before purchasing the Berk, we had an F350 dually, towing a Jayco Seismic (44 ft) and would only get between 8 and 8.5MPG.

No pun intended, but I am one happy camper ! (doesn't take much, does it?)

Thanks to all for the kindness of a reply !

When we left MI this fall I filled up and reset the MPG. I ran 63 all the way to Nashville and got 10.8. We took the Natchez Trace Trail from Nashville to Natchez 465 miles speed limit was 45 -50 and I ran more 45 than anything. We spent two nights on the Trace so not in a hurry. My MPG was 9. I did reset when we started the Trace. I am only going by the computer. I have never checked MPG by miles and gallons. I'm not sure how accurate it can be it seems like I can but a lot of diesel in the tank after the auto shut off clicks. The amount from fill up to fill up could very by several gallons depending on how big of hurry you are in.
