Accessing outlet in front storage bay through the basement?

Has anyone tried to run an extension cord through the basement to the front storage bay with the outlet?

I do it all the time I just run the cord out the bottom of the Bay and close the door on it lightly.

I drilled a hole through the compartment side wall in order to get power for the slide-out refrigerator/freezer I installed in the basement...
