That is a nice setup that you have for two more batteries. Did you install the vertical angle iron yourself, or was it already in the coach? If you installed it yourself, can you give some details?

I'm definitely interested in your solution. If I can beef up the battery bay with some extra angle iron, then I have a lot of choices. I could use two more GC batteries (10" high) like you. If I'm confident about double weight, I can go to L16 batteries (16" high). In between, there is a 14" height battery, which may be harder to find, which has a BCI Group Size of 902. In the Trojan line, they are denoted J305. The L16s are used in industrial floor sweepers, so they aren't too hard to find.

I'll have to check this, but I seem to recall that turning off the big switch for the house batteries prevented me from starting the generator. I'll do some tests.

I turned it off at the door. You may be right that the mother of all switches in the back cuts it off. AND, as you well know, not all buses are the same.
