Air Bags

Got the coach back recently from the factory, new air bags and tires like everyone else. Took the coach to Florida and back. I noticed the coach airs down after two days. With the old bags the coach would stay up and never lower, but since the new bags she sits like she is getting ready to auto level. Is this something with the new suspension? Everything performed good, road great, just airs down after a couple of days?

We have the new Forest River Legacy DP which im pretty sure has the same leveling system and airbags as the Berkshire.

I had the same question, my airbags seem to be totally lowered(deflated) after about 4-5 days of sitting and not running.

According to Freightliner when it was in for service and The Forest River folks this is normal and acceptable. I'm thinking it would be difficult to have a completely air tight system and I would also imagine with major temp swings that the air pressure would have to fluctuate maybe even more than we see with tires.

I'm no expert and just rely on what Freightliner tells me!

Scokat I thought the same thing when we got ours done but I think it's the larger tires making it look like it sits lower. I still have 75# of pressure in the tanks and it still comes up the same as it did before at least on mine. I have never list all the air even when sitting for weeks.

I just talked with Randy at FR today. We are scheduling our rig for the upgrades in July. How long did it take them to get your rigs done?

Frank,

They did mine in one day at the Freightliner Facility in Gaffney, SC. Glad you are getting it done!
