Any advice for someone going from Georgetown to BerkshireXL

Looks like we are going to close the deal and trade our 2017 GT 364TS for a 2018 BK XL 40C.

We wanted to get into a diesel, and the 40C has a lot of the options we wanted to get.

Anyone got any suggestions on what we should ask the dealer to do before we close the deal.

We had a Saf-T-Plus steering stabilizer on the GT, is this something that we should get installed ?

Extended warranty ?

Thanks for any advice.

I had the Safe T Plus put on my Berk 400QL and it made a huge difference.

Other than the Girard hot water heater on ours, we have no complaints and are thinking about getting a newer model now.

We went from a 30 foot Monaco gasser to a Berk 34qs. The handling and smooth ride is not even close to the rough ride on the Ford chassis. We left our Berk stock. It didn't seem to need any suspension tweaks. Our type 2 Gerard water heater actually also works fine. The only issue we had was with the Swintek slide system. Although works well now. You should be pleased with the XL.

We have a 2018 Berk XL40B. We had the Safe T Plus installed as well, probably has as much to do with length as anything. Love our Truma Aqua Go WH. That swintek slide takes gettin used to after having all Hyd on our previous one.

I think I would push for a Truma hot water heater.

my 2012 has a blue ox true center stabilizer. I have not driven without it, but is handles like a dream with it. Cross winds are not problem.

Good luck

Add on to Birkshire

We have a Berkshire 390RB we added the additional stabilizer, we also added (I put in basement sliding trays) and we did a Cornerstone extended warranty that covers the entire coach up to 75000 miles. We had numerous issues with the Giraud first generation tankless water heater that cornerstone kept replacing. I finally contacted Giraud directly and they sent us the new generation heater with a programmable control to control the water temps...makes it easy to change temps between tasks.
We love our Berkshire. Good luck
