Atwood on demand water heater

Looking for some suggestions:

2017 Berk 38A: Atwood on demand water heater:

the heater has worked several times, now out on another trip and no hot water.

1. Not using any water regulator so there is plenty of flow.
2. Have checked both fuses they are good.
3. Power vent runs when hot water is turned on.
4. Do not see any spark or any flame.
5. There is a full tank of gas (stove works and tank is 3/4 full)

Does anyone have any other suggestions??

When you take the cover off outside, there is a reset button on top left corner that kept blowing on mine. Took it in and found out there was a recall on a part that got replaced. Has been working ever since. Thats on a 2016 Sandstorm. ??

I have already checked, it is the ECO (high temp switch) and I have a closed circuit there..

thanks for the input...I wish I had my old electric hot water heater back(from my other coach)

Number one problem is black vent tube gets plugged remove it carefully and make sure nothing is in it. Also take tooth pick or pipe cleaner and clean out tube connection at pressure switch.

Wayne I can not thank you enough...

took off black tube, it was clear...but where tube came from was full of dirt.

took tooth pick and cleaned out and heater is working now.

I owe you big time, and hope we run into you somewhere.

we are from Delaware and West Virginia and could be at either place..

A suggestion is to reposition the black tube so it faces in side the compartment. Then block the hole that it used to go through with tape or something from the inside. This will keep you from having a repeat of the issue. I fixed mine several times and had to replace the pressure switch. Mud Daubers were the culprit. I did talk to Atwood CS and that is the fix they also recommend. The also admitted to a poor design on that tube.

Sounds good Phil, going to go and do that now.

What does the black tube do??? Does it just equalize the pressure on the Pressure Switch??

I believe it does but I don't know. A good way to test the pressure switch is to turn on hot water and touch the two brown wires together. Is the burner fires you have a pressure switch issues and most likely in the black tube.

I have also a problem with my water heater Atwood model G6A7 6 gallons propane only.
When I light it up, the pilot work but it make a yello flame and it smel and it live a trace of dark smoke on the door of the water heater but then I put it to ON and the heater work and the flame is blue (GOOD) then when it reach it tempreture,
it turn off and the pilot is turn off also.
Can you give me a quick fix?
