Awning

Just wondering if anybody has ever upgraded or enlarge their awning in anyway. I find it very hard to get shade because of the size and height

Get a sun shade that slides in the track.
Cheaper than a new awning.

I have a drop awning as Turbs described on my Berkshire 390 BH. I had the same problem with shade as you did. Pictures attached.Click image for larger version

Superchief, I was so impressed with your filled in map I had to show it to my wife. She looked at your map and asked how you got you RV to Hawaii. I didn't know what to tell her.

X'3 on the awning shade add on they really open things up. I ordered 1 from a web site, it was a little expensive being it also has a zipper so you could leave that end or drop in instead of pulling it through the slot all the time you roll it up after you unzip the awning. Then last year at Goshen a guy was making and selling them he was next to me so I bought another one from him but no zipper but 1/2 the price. Having 2 awnings is a pain being like I had to buy 2 sets of polls 2 awning shades and things like that, but it sure did expand our area under them and the sun problem is now over......

Would suggest some support on the awning tube before putting in sunscreens due to the added weight and wind affects on the arms with the added wind resistance and tying down the sunscreen. JMO

I didn't notice a weight issue. The top piece rolls up with awning (unzip) the bottom 6 foot piece. I used 3 bungee cords to stake it to the ground. Wind was not a problem. The arms on the Berkshires are pretty substantial. Craig

You don't miss a chance to sell your stuff, but your reasoning is sound.....
