The auto function was never intended to replace common . I always roll it in if storms are approaching. I watched four 5ers at Alice Spring GC checking their tie downs thinking WTH are they thinking? About 5 minutes later a big storm hit. Dianna and I watched as 4 awning in 5 seconds went to the scrap yard they just couldn't believe the tie down didn't hold. Like I said common sense.

The awning should be a CareFree awning full auto with wind protection. I do not have the model number.

Interesting, our 2014 Berk with the carefree awning doesn't have that control.

No they dropped the wind sensor on some of the 14's. In 2011 they didn't have 20 different types of Berkshires. They had the 390 in 4 different models and two engines. The current offerings are confusing to say the least. Even in the same year no two are the same. Mine seems to have more in common with a 2012 than a 2011.

Great at least we know it is a "Carefree of Colorado" in relationship to the Linkage! The Auto wind part is a "Some have/Some don't"! The OP was asking about "Adjustment for Rain" so that's all in the linkage! Were making headway! Youroo!!

The question from the OP specific awning was answered in the first 5 posts of the first page. With pictures.

It still collects water and auto dumps occasionally. That 'one' hole adjustment just made it auto dump to the rear instead of front.

Of course there are more holes to adjust it even further down. I'm not sure if that would make the rain run directly off without collecting/dumping.

BTW, no matter how much your tilt the awning with those adjustment holes, it will still retract correctly. Well according to the owners manual.

Everyone has a opinion and everyone wants to help. As far as I can see the OP has not returned to the discussion so his or her issues seem to be solved. The forum comes through again and fixed a problem. Heck in the mean time we learned about poles and auto dump never working. We learned about knobs(?) never seen them on my awning and had a lovely discussion some relevant some not. We did have fun and that's why we are here.
