Awning adjustment for rain

I have a 390QS and would like to know if there's any way to adjust one side of the awning down to drain water run off in the rain.

Sent from my iPhone 'cause I'm probably out in the RV!

A set of awning poles from Turbs or if you have the adjustment knobs on the arms, just pull the awning down and lock it in place.

There is an adjustment on the arms of the Carefree awning for the Berkshire. Mine was running off the front a couple weeks ago and I justed the arm so it run off the backside. I will attach a couple of pictures to show you.

If you have an A&E, Dometic, Awning, there are knobs on each lower arms that you can loosen and pull down the end of the awning to allow rain to drain off. This feature is also great for cleaning the awning.

IF it works. Not really a dependable system.

You want to lower just one side (away from door) so the rain runs off there.

The awning on our 2012 Berk has an auto dump feature plus the ability to tilt it with the buttons on the lower arm.

Only once did I see it do the dump feature. We almost never have the awning extended when raining. Was kind of neat. One side of awning rolled in like it was closing. After a foot or so it stopped and a flood of water flowed over the rear end of the awning. When it stopped the end of the awning went back to its normal extended position.

A really Great Idea would be if the OP listed the MFG and Type/Model#,or Pic of the Awning! It would keep down the "WAGs"! Youroo!!

I have a 2011 and mine is automatic. It is wind sensitive and will automatically drain the water.

The A & E (Dometic) is designed to dump water, and it works well, but I still drop one end of my awning so rain runs off the end I want it to.

We have the same awning. I tossed a nylon strap over one corner and use a ground stake. Easier than breaking out the ladder to be able to tighten the knob and faster to undo if the wind picks up.

Never had a problem with auto draining on my Awnings. As long as the adjustment nut isn't cranked down.

No way would I trust the Auto Dump Sys,,,
I either strap both sides down as far as I can,,, or if I want the water to go a certain way I strap one end lower !!!

Well I have had mine for four years and traveled from Michigan to Texas and Florida and New York. We have been in storms that have chased us to the club house for shelter. The awning rolls itself up when the wind blows hard and dumps when it rains. I almost don't even worry about it. I can set the sensitivity from low to high. Very good system and very happy with it. Now if they would have just put it on the slide so it gave some shade.

X-2 to all that. Awning just to high. Auto dump and wind sensor work perfect !

The auto dump works great. I was just showing it how to make it dump off the back end instead of the front by the door.
