Given that our Berks are supposed to have dual pane glass and the heaving window tinting plus the dual thermal daytime & nighttime shades I am wondering if installing Awnings (like Silver did) is a necessity or if it is something that just adds a nice look to the coach.
Another thought: if awnings are a necessity, would Magne Shades be better?

After staying in my Charleston all summer in the Midwest in 105 temp and 80% humidity, it had no issues sitting out in the sun as long as you run all 3 A/C's. But they do look pretty!
I have always liked the way they look. Nice in the rain if you want windows open- with older style sliding windows. With new windows opening from the bottom, rain would be less of an issue.
They have to help in direct sun.
For me they have made a big difference when the sun is beating down on the coach and are easier to deploy and store than the magne shade. Magne shade is great for the cab and tires.
