We were on the road yesterday follks...so it was tough to update
We DID find the sweet spot - right at 10MPG @ 60MPH, drops to 8.9MPG @ 65 MPH and all the way down to 7MPG @ 70MPH!
Still want to do some more testing once I am more familiar with the Freightliner computer - will re-test on the way up to Goshen in August.

Thanks Ace - we considered the KOA, but there is a cool little family owned campground (that is Passport America) that has pull-through 50AMP big-rig sites - right at the Mammoth cave exit so only 35 miles north of KOA. At $17 a night, it's a great deal! (BTW, we didn't even unhook the TOAD!)

Also just north of Nashville is a nice CG called Nashville Country RV. Both are nice and easy parking. The KOA is about 7 hours south of Elkhart and Nashville Country is only a hour further.

Thanks Phil! I will stash this info in our trip log!

HAHA Brian - Actually, this is my Father and Son beard challenge - he challenged me in DEC to stop trimming and I did - I will probably keep it for the rest of the year at least - I have already been drafted as Santa for our office party this year
As for the various and sundry comments about joy riding, road trips, spinouts, and off road exploits in our new baby that are being planned by several nefarious FROGs (whose names I will not mention
) ...
So sorry, we figured you guys would pull something like this! We have wisely planned (and pre-paid for the year) for a campsite at the Redstone Arsenal RV Campground. So unless you fancy yourself being able to run the gate manned by guards armed with Assault Rifles and then figure out which of the 3 CGs we are at...all while being chased by Humvees with machine gun mounts....you may want to rethink your evil plans!
Oh yeah...were you to actually get your hands on the Baby, you will have to contend with momma....and she drives too!
(and HERK....don't get any fancy ideas there brother! You and Laura already have a Berk earmarked for you!
