I have 2012 390bh When I extend my rear bedroom slide all of the way it makes a grinding noise also I found metal shavings under the gear mechanism .Does the slide have a limit switch to stop the slide from over extending??

Hi Bounce. It would assist a lot if you were to post the year and model of your coach and which bedroom slide you are referring to (assuming you have 2). -Glenn

Bounce - I assume that you are talking about the bed slide. A lot of people; including myself has had problems with the. There has been several threads on this problem including my own - see...............

Bed Slide Problem

I firmly believe that the gear housing bolts come loose from the constant prying of the cantilevered motor due to the up and down jerks while driving. I wedged a block of wood under the motor to the floor and haven't had the problem since.

Bounce, I just noticed that you did have the year and model of your Berk in your post. Sorry I did not see that earlier, I must have been half asleep. It looks like Hank has assisted you now and sorry again for not reading better.

On a side note- I have not had the issue yet with mine, but I did pull the plywood cover out under the bed and found that the bolts were a little loose, so I tightened them.
