accumack, do you have any pictures of your homemade light bar? I pull a Jeep Compass on a mastertow dolly and I have been trying to come up with a light bar to put on the roof rack rails. Thanks, Roy

My light bar is for tail lights so I don't have use the Jeep's electrical system.

Nice idea . Are they wireless ? Is that even do able ? A wireless light bar with LED lights run with batteries.

Here's a little tidbit of info on the 340 with the 2500.

From a dead stop, towing my JKU......0 to 60 in 38 seconds!!!

I never thought of doing that before but there was a F250 with stacks at the light in the next lane over and he gave me that look. Needless to say he beat me, but I was impressed with my set up.

I bet all of y'all try it now......lol

Awhile back, I had my RV weighed on a Cat Scale. It was completely empty of cargo and household items. It included a full tank of gas and propane, 1/2 fresh water and my wife and I. Results: 10,480 lbs front axle and 17,280 rear axle. Note that 10,40 is the front limit and 17,500 is the rear limit.

Then I had it weighed with full water, gas and propane, two passengers, full cargo (maybe 95%), tow bar and toad. Results: 11,120 lbs front axle, 18,200 rear axle, 3,700 lbs toad and 33,020 lbs overall.

I also initially had the 55 tires and running 110 psi which I did not like. After changing to 75 tires and beefing up the front axle to a 12,000 lb rating. I am more comfortable. Yes I am over on the rear axle but I agree with Boo (see post #19), that the rear is actually okay to 19,000 lbs.

Even though I have made it up 10% grades, I would not be comfortable without the beefier tires and front axle. The 340 is very marginal in weight carrying, so my advice - GET IT WEIGHED!

Phil do you full time in your coach ? How are your weights? Do you meet the max weights allowed ? We will be full timing within 2 - 3 years. I know that going from a 3100 sq. ft. home to one of these coaches we have to get rid of a few items but hoping that we can bring a little more than just ourselves and a full tank of fuel. lol

Joe we carry a lot. To much. We go on a diet this week as we clean the basement. Long overdue and way to much STUFF. We did get a storage shed for our seasonal lot in MI and we have a 8X14 shed at our lot in FL. That helps with some stuff but the answer to your question is yes we are close on weight. Tot over but close. Well maybe a bit over but not dangerous or anything. Our biggest challenge is room to store stuff. We have gotten creative and added some shelves and changed things around. It works for us.

Cypress Trail in Fort Myers. We are anxious to see it. When we left in late March it was a mud pit waiting for concrete to be cut and pavers installed. All I do is write checks and hope it's all done the way I want it.

We have NOTHING that is not in the coach. No house, no storage, nothing. I am in a minority on this, but personally I wouldn't have it any other way. Got rid of the stuff now, before my son has to do it after I'm gone.

I totally agree with Boo. Go full time get rid of everything. We Sold the house and had almost no time to get rid of stuff so we are storing some stuff until we can get rid of it.
