From the looks of it, berkshire has discontinued two of its floor plans and only has two now, the 400BH and a 400QL. Forest river added a new smaller diesel line which is the legacy and they have two floor plans too, the 340BH and 340KP. The starting price of the Berkshire went up quite a bit so if you are like me and just got a 2014 berkshire then I'd be happy you got it since the new ones are starting off with a MSRP of $270,000!!

Follow up:

We're at the Forest River Dealer Expo, and there are several of the new Berkshires on display, including the brand-new Legacy. It's a 36-foot mid-entry diesel pusher build by the Berkshire division. I've known about it for a month or two, and it's on a few dealer websites, but was asked not to mention anything about it until the Expo.

I'll get a few pix to post.

Why did they replace the 390BH whit a 40BH? Is there really any difference.

I looked at the new 40Bh at the Hershey show last week. New frame-less windows on the outside, a wood grain dash cover, different furniture manufacture inside, and this unit had a residential fridge. Just some of the differences I noticed.

I don't think it is anything more than truth in advertising. The 390bh was 40 feet long, okay, actually 39' 11" or something along those lines so they are just calling it what it is. This way it compares with the Tiffin Phaeton and the Fleetwood. Otherwise someone might think that the Berk is a foot shorter than the others when it really isn't.

I like the look of it. I like where the door is. A walk around bed without the step would be nice. I wonder if it will be 34ft or 36ft. I love my Berkshire but I am doing a lot of solo trips and it doesn't fit in my driveway! Lol

Not for me either, but I do see a market for a unit like this.

The bunk house looks like it would sleep a lot of people. And I do believe that to be a reason why mor MH are not sold. That and price.

MHSRV's website lists the Legacy as 'coming soon' but have them priced at the same thing the prior Berkshires were, roughly $159k. They have a generic exterior pic and a floor plan.

If you go on RV direct's website, you can see the floor plans and they have pictures of both that they have in stock. I am not impressed!! I have a 2014 but not the new 2014 and mine is much nicer and it was 20k less!! I spoke with my friend (one of the owners of rv direct) and we both agreed that it looks like forest river skimped on the inside to make up the cost difference of the chassis upgrade and frameless windows and new brand of furniture!

Anyone that got the first line of 2014's like mine is lucky because we got the chassis upgrade with out the price increase!! The new ones wall coverings are really cheesy and look cheap! The new bunk house floor plan isn't as nice either (this is my opinion only)

I'm very happy that I got my 2014 when I did because I love mine and not a big fan of the new ones.

Again these are just my opinions and by no means trying to offend anyone. Either way you look at it the berk's are awesome and the best bang for your buck!!!
