Black marks on tile floor
Does anyone have a way to remove black makes from the ceramic tile floors? I have tried Soft Scrub and a Magic Eraser and it came off somewhat but not completely.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

This worked for me with heel marks on tile floors years ago;
Colgate tooth *paste*, not gel.
I've used it in years past to remove scuff marks off patent leather shoes.
Just put it on a cloth and rub the mark.

WD 40 takes lots of stuff off. What are the marks from?

We've had the same problem since we picked it up. Wife uses a "scrubbie" and water. It's plastic and she uses it for pans. The area in the bedroom on the carpet won't come clean so far. Is yours greasy or more like a rubber skid mark? We went from greasy at first to more of a skid mark.

I have the black marks on my carpet in the master bedroom, DW got it somewhat off, but now it's starting to come back. It comes from under the slide, not sure what it is. I've tried to look under there but it's hard to see without tearing stuff off.

The marks are from a piece of metal rubbing on the tile floor. Will try WD40 and see if that helps any.

For ceramic tile try a light abrasive like rubbing compound.

Must say that I don't really understand the love affair with shiny ceramic tile in a coach - particularly white or light colored tile. Several manufacturers feature it, mostly in their high end coaches. But for us it would be a deal breaker. I wouldn't want it in my house, and surely wouldn't want it in an RV. It would have to show EVERY little smudge, scuff, etc. Seems like having a more forgiving color / texture makes more sense, which is what we've always opted for. I think if we *did* have a shiny ceramic tile floor, we'd be inclined to cover it up w/ runners / rugs. If you love your shiny white ceramic floor, talk to me. I admit, they look very foxy, but....maybe I'm too practical.

Many of the new fancy DP coaches come with the tile standard. I'll admit I had white tile at my house many years ago that I could not wait to get rid of. It showed every little hair an piece of dust on it.
With the tile in the new coach, it's not the same for us. Doesn't show crud like the old stuff we had at home. A quick Swiffer mop once in a while keeps it looking very shiny. Of course we do have a couple throw rugs like we do at home in front of the sink etc.
WHat I hated even more in our last gasser was that dirty carpet that had dirt ground in, spills that would not clean up and no easy way to clean it. Could not get rid of any smells that got into it.

I look at it like this, floors get dirty, even the ones that don't show dirt as much as others. DW & I like clean floors. No matter the color or type. If we had floors that didn't show dirt we would still clean them every day. We don't like carpet either. We have the white shiny stuff, damp mop before going to bed and it's clean. We also don't wear our shoes inside the coach, we leave them at the door outside, I think that's a cajun thing.

She has her new Swiffer mop and attachments. It's almost like men and their tools. :-)
Besides, it's a motorhome for Pete's sake. Takes maybe 10 minutes to do the floor.
I guess we have been fortunate that we have not had black marks to deal with.
