Also, specific to the Berkshire, does this replace the factory-installed unit, and if so, I have not read here that anyone has been successful in accessing the factory unit for service or repair - how did you do it, or is it installed some other way?

I don't plan on buying the nozzle - just looking at one to see how to service it (run piano wire from the outside connection to clean the nozzle orifices?). The original one can't be accessed, as far as I know. Also, I suspect it's a design fault, and replacement wouldn't do much good.
