Correct. You can NOT operate slides, awnings, forward TV or lower the sun shade beyond "that" point with the "ignition" on, and the "ignition" has to be on for the engine to run.

(Of course this is a misnomer as there is no ignition in a diesel but that's another story....)

The ignition powers a relay that opens and cuts off the power to all these items.

yes, some items are controlled by an ignition interlock, to allow/keep certain items from moving with/without the ignition engaged. Some might be levelers, awnings, slides, front night shade, etc. Some may work differently on different coaches, even among diesels.
