Has anybody driven I5 lately? What are the road conditions like.

we've driven it up and down the state. relatives in san diego and sacramento. road conditions are as you would expect for a major interstate. traffic can go from standstill to none depending on where you are and time of day. road surface can go from great to rippled. road work can be anywhere. cops can be anywhere (or nowhere). it can be anywhere from 2 lanes to 6 (or more) lanes wide. every type of vehicle ever made is on it: cars, delivery trucks, lots of semis, trailers, buses, rv's, motorcycles, etc. don't know what else to say.

If you're pulling a car or trailering anything, the statewide max speed limit is 55mph. Blech.

Just went over the grapevine recently and had us saying "this would be a good place for a road". Pavement is like cobble stones much of the way, but other than that all was OK. Glad we had air suspension.

If you want to test your suspension it is great.

Highway 99 used to be worse, not sure if it still is worse than I5.
