Did they remove the slide or just put plastic with it slid out?

Leak

Do you have slide out covers? If not look at the seal area closely and see if you may have closed some debris into the seal area last time out. Debris (leaves etc.) will compress against the coach seal and hold it partially away from the roof surface.

From viewing the picture of the bottom of the slide it looks like the lower sweep seal is missing. Water can enter this area from tire spray along the side of the coach in the rain.

I pulled that seal out on the side to show you. Yes the bottom does not have that.

Like on the kitchen slide here.

I don't have any water problem but neither of my slides have wiper going across the bottom of the slide. Was contemplating adding a wiper seal there to better seal the slides.

The bottom of your slide looks the same as mine did. The 1/8 thick piece of plastic covered the whole slide bottom. They just jammed it under the slide, it was fastened all around the edge.

On mine that little square piece on the cable is glued to the seal on the coach side.

Were the slides open during the recent rains? If so it could be from water leaking down the side walls of the slide and getting to that lower lip then going inside.

I have that same black mark on my carpet that you have in the first picture. I can't figure out where it comes from.

Darco wrap on bottom. Sorry excuse for a material. It is not water proof and has a problem with tearing on 5er slides. Prime Time denies that it is a problem. It will wick water and rot the bottom. Keep a close eye on the edges.
