Captains Chairs

My front Captains for the driver and rider are peeling and I need to find new covers for them. They were made by Flex Steel out of synthetic leather and I'm looking to find a set of covers out of actual leather. Anyone know a place to purchase the covers without having to purchase the entire Captains Chairs

The material used on our furniture and captain chairs are from a furniture shop near the FR plant in Elkhart. If you call Andy or Randy at FR they will give you the name and contact of the company. They should be able to match your color and change the fabric to whatever you may want.

Ours did the same, took chairs out and took to local auto appostery place and picked out some good quality fabric and had them recover both chairs, was about $800 and cheaper then buying new chairs. Got no support from FR or Flexsteel.

Under the seat, tucked in the springs supporting the seat, I found a piece of paper with the upholstery code on it. I called Flex-steel and bought 4 new arms for the captains chairs. They were shipped in a couple weeks, installed easily with the included directions, and matched perfectly. I had the option of getting just the fabric, but, with the new arms, I gained the adjustability feature that allows me to set the height between all the way up to below-level. The below-level is nice when the seat is in living room position and reclined. The arms don't stick up in the air now. I think the parts were $65 each or so.

Both Captians seats have deteriorated beyond repair on my 2011 Birkshire 390RB so I'm just completely recovering them. The material just fell apart and the Motorhome has only 8,000 miles on it. I suspect the material couldn't take the Florida sun as the sofas are in excellent condition. I'm giving $500 a chair for grade A real leather. The entire seat will be covered in leather, so I will never have a peeling seat problem again.

Previous threads have detailed the failings of ultra leather. Further, there has been no support from anyone up the supply chain. If your sofas are of the same material, expect the same failure. In my 2010 I am beginning to see peeling of my loveseat. I would take them to an upholstery shop.

As an aside, you go by faaguy. If you were FAA, were you af or at? I just retired 33 years air traffic.

Buy enough material for all, couch etc. You will end up recovering them down the road.
