Captians Chairs

Has anyone replaced the Drivers and Passengers seats? Our 2008 360QS has less than 20k on the odometer and the original seats have failed miserably. It was bought new in 2011 and we had some of the upholstery pieces replaced that first year. Now the upholstery is actually falling apart, the imitation leather or vinyl on the seats are wearing away to the sub-fabric material. The support offered in these chairs is not very substantial and we become uncomfortable after a short time in either the drivers or passengers position. If anyone out there has a solution or knows of a vendor that can either rebuild these things properly or has a replacement that fits the pedestal bolt pattern please let us know.

GOOD LUCK

Wow..... My 2008 has just turned 30K miles, and gas been used since 2008 and my seats and all other furniture is still like new... Now sure why yours should be wearing out already...

Area51,

I have your same coach, year and 25k on the meter now. We replaced our Captains Chairs last year and it was worth every cent. I was very disappointed in the original seats. We stayed with Flexsteel, and bought 597BUSR from Marine and RV Furniture | Custom Yacht, Boat, RV, Motorhome furnishings by Flexsteel, Villa, Mariner and Lafer Recliners. I kept the 6 way power for the driver and added power lumbar and heat. I upgraded to 6 way power and power foot rest for the co-pilot and ratcheting arm rest on both sides with swivel. We saved some by having the seats shipped to a business. Again, not a cheap upgrade, $1300 for both, but well worth the investment. I had to stop every couple hours before - now I feel like I could drive all day!

We have another 2008 360QS with similar problems: our passenger-side couch started rapid deterioration recently. The imitation leather finish is cracking and separating from the backing in several places...

Ours is doing the same on passenger seat. 2009 QS. Was thinking of having them recovered but have not checked into cost yet.

A salesman (liar??) told me that the "faux" leather would actually outlast real leather. HA!!

Boowho??

Boowho??: never seen real leather behave like this regardless of its age. Ours is beginning to shed faux skin like a snake. Pretty disappointing. Lots of other things I was hoping to replace before the furniture...

Has anyone looked into the cost to recover?

We had to repair the seams on the Passenger couch cushions just after we purchased the rig.
GOOD LUCK
