Carefree slide out covers.

On my 2016 38A my slide out covers over bedroom and kitchen do not seem complete. The full slide has covers over the covers if you know what I mean. The fabric is not exposed. The other slides I think are missing the fabric covers. Is this normal or did they not install at factory.

Yes, that is normal. I purchased covers for my other slides. Cost was about $800.

I found the least expensive place to purchase the covers was from Shade Pro. You need to call and ask them as they are not on their web site. They were half any other price when I got them. I do not think I would spend the money again however. Not really any value and they block leafs and pine needles from falling off. I now have another job in the fall, cleaning out the covers.

Cleaned mine yesterday on my fifth wheel. It is 5 years old and they had never been cleaned but Dawn and a good brush turned into about a one hour job. Need to remember when cleaning an RV - start at the top. We washed the windows and then cleaned the slide covers, and then washed the windows and sides of the fiver again.......

I will not let them get into this shape again though, lesson learned.
