Found the part. Its part number 20X28802A referred to as the Plunger Baggage Door. I found a Berkshire Parts Dealer in San Diego that had two. I bought the other as a spare. I do have a bottom one missing on another door so thanks for the information on even trying to replace that one. Appreciate the alternative plan too.

for all interested the latches and locks on all the Berkshire's doors are purchased from Trimark. There web site is TriMark Corporation - Latch, Handle, Linkage, Electronic, Hinge, Vehicle door hardware

Would be nice if someone could figure out how to get the up/down ones out past the curve on the bottom. If you figure it out let us know.

Has anyone figured out how to replace the up/down latch? There has to be a secret on how to get it past the curve of the door!
