changing LP regulator

Has anyone changed their LP regulator on a Berk? I tried last week, but was unable to turn (loosen) the regulator because when I did, the body of the reg. hits the LP tank. Any suggestions?

Rich,
Can you hold the regulator to keep it from turning while you undo the fitting? I haven't looked at it but that may be the case. I'm sure you have seen posts here of others who have changed their regulators without a problem.

Ok, so I must be a moron.. Unless one of the threads on either the regulator or the tank valve fitting are reverse threads, the only way to get the regulator off is spinning the regulator. Am I missing something?

Done. Easy peasy! Only issue was a tube of gasoila thread sealer that I had with the regulator had turned to oil, so I used gas thread sealer. Just ordered another spare regulator and will get a pipe wrench for my coach tool box. Thanks.
