Chassis battery question

Is that something plugged into the outlet? If so that is most likely the block heater.

That black cord hanging down in front of the outlet has a plastic cover over the male prongs. Remove the cover and plug it into the outlet on the wall when you want to use the block heater. You need to be plugged into ac for the outlet to work.

Oh ok, I thought this was going to be something I mugged into shore power.
I guess my block heater has been plugged in this whole time.
I should unplug it since I'm paying for electricity where I'm parked

Yes just plug it in the night before you are going to start the coach if it is cold out.

You only need a couple hours before you are set to leave.

Any more is a waste.

Up here ( where you actually NEED a block heater) I have a timer set for three hours. I start plugging in at -15c.

We found that the crossconnect switch in the coach battery compartment was losing 1.0/1.5 amps to ground,with all battery switches turned off.Found that the crossconnect switch is wired around the on/off battery switch and is hot all the time.Bought another kill switch and wired crossconnect feed wire through it with new wire to battery and now no dead batteries

There is a breaker that will shut power off to that outlet also. My breaker says block heater.
