Checklist reminders

So, I learned the hard way that you cannot see the upper passenger side storage cabinet door while the 'wardrobe' slide is in. This is the door above the washer/dryer location. I'll be heading to Lowes tomorrow for a couple new door hinges and screws.
Be sure to check that door before you move the 'wardrobe' slide out.

Thanks for the heads up. You probably saved the rest of us from sharing your pain.

I discovered that the cupboard doors above the entertainment center can pop open and hit the slides of the closed slides. If you do not check EVERY time, they can jam the slides when you try to open them. Luckily in my case the door closest to the trim had come open and the slide did not move more than a fraction of an inch before it stopped. Since the slide did not have a chance to build momentum, no damage was done (but I did have to run the slide closed to close the door).

Had it been the one closer to the wall, the slide would have surely torn the door off.

We always deploy the bed slide 1st so we can walk through & check those cabinet doors before deploying the wardrobe slide. We came real close to ripping them off after our initial trip in the unit.
