Compartment door interior

Dealer wiped all of the interior cargo doors down with who knows what. I tried windex, 409, denatured alcohol. Nothing seems to work

Any ideas?Click image for larger version

If dealer is near by, have him clean if off at no cost. Skip

Possibly a wax product? Only thing I can think off that would shed what you tried.

Weird. How did it get all the way under the strut bracket?

I don't know. It's everywhere. I'm gonna try dish washing liquid this week. Have been ignoring it for a while but time to try to make it go away.

My favorite cleaning product-

LA's Awesome , This cleans like crazy. Its the only product that seems to remove black streaks, stains from metal roofs on paint.

Available at dollar stores.

Some knucklehead at the dealer wiped down most of the doors with a rag that had something on it that doesn't like aluminum. Tried Maguire's aluminum cleaner, Palmolive dish washing p
Liquid and a little test spot with WD-40. Nothing worked. Back to the drawing board.

Looks like it has etched the surface. This may be a challenge to smooth the surface back out. Just like buffing paint out. Start cousre and go to a fine polish.

Gonna pick away at it this weekend at the Gettysburg rally. I'll try one of the battery compartment doors as a test spot.

I would definitely get this problem on record, in writing, with the dealer, then have them try to fix it. Whatever it is could continue to oxidize (if it is an oxidizer) the aluminum, even after it appears to be clean, leaving you with a problem you have to deal with over and over to make it look good. Get it on record to protect your [ass]et.

Ok, I tried a few more things.
000 steel wool, just made a mess
Aluminum wheel cleaner, worked a little
Water and vinegar, not so much
Lemon juice and cream of tar tar, seems to work but may need a few applications.
I'm camping this weekend and will spend some time sitting on a bucket applying elbow grease while the girls do what ever they do and see what happens. I'll keep you posted

I spent some time yesterday spraying lemon juice on the door interiors. I cut some sheets of plastic to keep it from dripping off and let it sit for about 30 minutes. This took most of the white marks off but not completely Click image for larger version

Oh my gosh, my dealer also wiped all the surfaces down with something goopy that left a weird swirly residue. I was able to clean it off the table top and counters, but it is still on the glass insert of the door and it is making me crazy. My dealer is not that close so I sent them photos of the smeary mess and they are "perplexed". I have even tried Magic Eraser and that didn't work. I will try these other things folks have suggested here. Thank you!

Same issue but not the RV.
After a car wash employee wiped the interior of DW's car with who knows what it left everything sticky. When the faux leather on the arm rest stuck to me and peeled off I vowed never to let them near my vehicles again.
I'll do it myself, thank you.

Compartment door interior

Here are the before and after pictures. Not the same door but they were almost all the same. Looks better but still need some more cleaning. I have about 8 hours in it now. And a lot of beer. Click image for larger version
