Coolant/Anti-Freeze

Hi All-

Taking the rig out of winter storage and the 'low coolant' light is on. Engine kicks itself off after a minute. Trying to find the right coolant to put in and top it off. I've called Forest River, Cummins and Freightliner. Freightliner told me I can get any coolant off the shelf at NAPA, AutoZone etc, as long as it is Ethylene Glycol Based, Heavy Duty with SCA.

Just wondering if you have topped of your coolant, what did you use? And if I buy pre-mixed, I don't need to worry about the 50/50 dilute ratio, correct?

I have the Cummins ISB 6.7 340.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Mike

My only concern would be if it is dexcool or the regular stuff. Dexcool is pink vs green for the other. You can't mix the two. Jerry

That's why I recommended polyfreeze.
Works either way regardless of color or style.
It's also precharged for diesel.

Thank you for the help. I was able to find Fleet Guard with SCA right down the road at an auto store. Same color. Pink.

As always, appreciate the help.
