Creaking Noises

Just wondering if fellow Berkshire owners hear any creaking noises? Mine seems to moan and groan when we are all set up. Is this normal? Noise comes from different places from under the coach. Not to worried, just curious.

Can't say that I recall hearing any creaking noises after we are set up. I do hear some during the levellling process, but nothing once set up. It may just be that the sub flooring is not completely tight all around.

I have one spot that produces a bit of a floor creak when I walk on it but that's about it. I don't think there should be any other noises once the jacks are set. Perhaps some shifting if it's windy outside but I can't think of any other reasons. You don't have a stowaway in the basement do you? (2-legged or 4-legged)

I wish there was a stow-away maid in the basement!!! When we walk onto a couple of spots in the rig we hear a popping or creaking noise. I think that tmmar could be correct about the sub-flooring. How would you check on this?

After making our long spring trip, I am also getting a 'creaking' sound after being set up. Comes from the chassis underneath, sometimes the front them the rear. More of a thump than creak sound metal on metal. I feel movement in the coach too.
I had thought it was expansion/contraction but it happens when we move. Not sure if the jacks are losing pressure but I am not seeing any leaks and the coach remains level.
It is most annoying at night trying to sleep. Sometimes rolling over in bed or getting up and walking around triggers the noise.
Other times it will just happen and wake us up.

Looking for ideas what it may be. We do not remember hearing this lar year or earlier this spring

Air in the hydraulic lines on your landing gear or leveling system. See here: http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ite-39270.html

It may also be the jack pistons slowly working their way through the pads. I noticed weird noises like this and eventually the ram went all the way through the pad (with a heluva crash).

Newer pads have been beefed up substantially since the older style are known to fail. Equalizer Systems replaced all four of my pads gratis(but without labor), even though out of warranty.

Boowho??
