Damaged Headlight Switch

While attempting to push my headlight switch down to activate my fog lights, I either pushed too hard, or the switch plate was loose, however irregardless of which it was my switch plate is now laying inside the console as shown in the attached photo.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Is there a quick fix or does the whole top of the console have to be removed?

If it's the same console that I have on my '14, just remove the hex screws and the panel lifts off. Pretty easy.

Mine did that the last time out, I was turning the lights off and the left side of switch just dropped. Next morning I got a Allen wrench and took that cover off. They basically glued two bolts to the bottom of the panel, set the switch in place, tighten nuts to hold the switch, and put a dab of silicone to hold the nuts on so they don't vibrate off. I carry some of that hvac foil tape so I used it to tape it back together and got some epoxy and did it right when I got home.
